How Many Ft In Yard
Cubic Yards Calculator
Summate a Rectangle Expanse
Reckoner Use
Calculate cubic yards volume for landscape textile, mulch, fill, gravel, cement or containers. Enter dimensions in US units (inches or feet) or metric units (centimeters or meters) to calculate the cubic yards, cubic anxiety and cubic meters. Also calculate the cost of materials when y'all enter the toll per cubic foot, toll per cubic yard or price per cubic meter.
Enter measurements in US units or metric units. Calculate volume from your measurements in inches (in), feet (ft), yards (yd), centimeters (cm), or meters (m). You can also enter decimal values. For instance, if you have one measurement that is 7'3" you can enter that equally 7.25 feet (3"/12" = 0.25 ft). If you have a measurement of 245 cm you can as well enter that as ii.45 grand.
If you have an area in square feet you can still summate cubic yards. In the calculator, select Rectangle. Enter your square feet in the Length field, and enter "i" in the Width field. Enter how deep y'all want the make full in the Depth field. Click "Calculate" and your reply volition be shown in cubic yards.
How to Calculate Cubic Yards using feet and inches
Measure
- Measure your expanse in feet
- Determine the depth of your material, say mulch, that you volition put on this area more often than not using depth in inches
Convert all of your measurements to anxiety
- If y'all measured in feet only skip to "Calculate"
- If you lot measured in feet & inches, separate inches by 12 and add together that to your anxiety measure to go total feet
- If you measured in inches only, divide inches by 12 and that is your measurement in feet
Calculate Cubic Yards
- Calculate your area
- Calculate your volume: Multiply expanse times the depth to get volume in cubic feet
- Calculate your cubic yards: Split up cubic feet past 27 to convert to cubic yards and this is your respond
- Where ft2 = square pes, ft3 = cubic foot, ydiii = cubic k
Cubic Yards Formulas and Surface area Calculations
Square Area
Calculate cubic yards using depth in a square area
Using measurements in feet:
Area ft2 = 2 ten Side Length
Volume ft3 = Depth ten Area
Book in Cubic Yards yd3 = Volume ftthree / 27
Rectangle Expanse
Summate cubic yards using depth in a rectangle surface area
Using measurements in feet:
Expanse ftii = Length ten Width
Volume ft3 = Depth x Area
Book in Cubic Yards yd3 = Volume ft3 / 27
Rectangle Border Surface area
Summate cubic yards using depth in a rectangle edge expanse
Using measurements in feet:
Inner Area (fttwo) = Length x Width
Total Area (ft2) = (Length + (2 x Border Width)) 10 (Width + (2 x Edge Width))
Area (ft2) = Total Area - Inner Surface area
Volume (ft3) = Depth x Area
Book in Cubic Yards (yd3) = Volume (ft3) / 27
Circle Surface area
Summate cubic yards using depth in a circumvolve area
Using measurements in feet:
Area (ft2) = Pi ten (Diameter/ii)2
Volume (ftiii) = Depth x Area
Volume in Cubic Yards (yd3) = Book (ft3) / 27
Pi = 3.14
Circle Border Area
Calculate cubic yards using depth in a circle border expanse
Using measurements in feet:
Outer Diameter = Inner Diameter + (ii x Border Width)
Outer Expanse (ft2)
= Pi x (Outer Bore/ii)2
Inner Area (ft2)
= Pi x (Inner Bore/2)ii
Area (ft2) = Outer Area - Inner Area
Volume (ft3) = Depth x Expanse
Volume in Cubic Yards (yd3) = Book (ftthree) / 27
Pi = 3.14
Apparently, the Circle Edge and Annulus are the same, just measured differently.
Annulus Expanse
Calculate cubic yards using depth in an annulus expanse
Using measurements in feet:
Outer Area (ft2)
= Pi 10 (Outer Diameter/two)2
Inner Area (ft2)
= Pi x (Inner Bore/two)2
Expanse (ftii) = Outer Area - Inner Surface area
Volume (ftiii) = Depth 10 Area
Volume in Cubic Yards (yd3) = Volume (ft3) / 27
Pi = 3.14
Plain, the Circle Border and Annulus are the aforementioned, only measured differently.
Triangle Area
Calculate cubic yards using depth in a triangle area
Using measurements in feet:
Area (ft2) = (1/4) ten square root[ (a+b+c) ten (b+c-a) x (c+a-b) x (a+b-c) ]
Volume (ft3) = Depth x Area
Volume in Cubic Yards (yd3) = Volume (ftiii) / 27
Trapezoid Area
Summate cubic yards using depth in a trapezoid expanse
Using measurements in anxiety:
Expanse (ft2) = ((a + b) / 2 )h
Volume (ft3) = Depth x Surface area
Volume in Cubic Yards (yd3) = Book (ft3) / 27
